On February 28th, 2023, a farewell ceremony was held in honor of Wolfgang Kursch, EDL’s managing director for many years, on the occasion of his retirement.
As ‘man from the very beginning’, Wolfgang Kursch was with EDELEANU GmbH since it was founded in Leipzig on September 1, 1991. From then on, he played a key role in the success story of EDL Anlagenbau Gesellschaft mbH – the development of an engineering office that only executed partial services in projects to an independently operating plant engineering company having all the necessary prerequisites for the overall execution of industrial projects as well as its own technologies.
Having started out as a senior layout engineer, Mr. Kursch took over management of the plant engineering department in 1995 and management of the engineering division at EDL in 2004. In 2010, he was appointed Managing Director. Since then, EDL has undergone a continuous development and is now a plant engineering company with an excellent reputation and a generally recognized high level of specialist and technological expertise.
For our customers and partner companies, Wolfgang Kursch was always a very competent contact person.
At the farewell ceremony, the managing directors Dr. Michael Haid (CEO) and Daniel Oryan expressed appreciation for the contribution made by Mr. Kursch and his dedication to the company. “With him we are losing an outstanding specialist who was always committed to plant engineering with great enthusiasm and passion. We give our thanks to him for the many years of trusting cooperation and everything he has done for EDL.”
Dr. Haid added: „Dear Wolfgang, with pride and satisfaction you can look back on what has been achieved, and with great joy you can look on the good times ahead of you."
The succession issue was settled 2022, when Daniel Oryan was appointed Managing Director in August and took over the baton from Mr. Kursch at the end of the year.
