Prominent figures from industry and politics got together on 1 June 2012 to open the new premises of Pörner Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH at Linz. “We are happy to have created a modern working environment for our employees and are looking forward to another 37 years of successful engineering“, said Ing. Mag. Eugen Gotter, Head of the Linz Office, on this occasion. 32 employees have every reason to be happy: light, air to breath, sufficient space on 643 sqm, state-of-the-art workplaces and most importantly, quietness are features of the new premises at MediCent Linz.
The new location at Donaulände 21-25 is ideal. Situated in the centre of Linz but having good connections to the public transport network and motorway the MediCent provides ample parking, an in-house fitness club, Donaulände as recreational area and the public swimming pool right next door.
Pörner Ingenieurgesellschaft opened its Linz office in 1975. Since then they have been devising, planning and building industrial plants. Eugen Gotter expressed his thanks to the entire team for the great efforts to manage the move from a local residential building in just one day. It demonstrates once more what the decades of experience in implementing complex plant projects can achieve.
The City Councillor, KR Susanne Wegscheider, was among the guests who congratulated Pörner Linz for its achievements in the 37 years since its foundation and said: “It is hugely important for Linz as a business location that companies like Pörner Ingenieurgesellschaft are based here because the innovative power and the engineering activities create values at the beginning of a supply chain and give competitive edge to the surrounding industry.
“The challenge is now to strengthen the confidence in the expertise and know-how of the Austrian engineers to safeguard the business location of Linz in the long run“, said Andreas Pörner, Managing Shareholder of the Pörner Group. He is confident that the Linz office will continue to grow.
For the tasks lying ahead Pörner Linz has been looking for new recruits. Specialists in electrical engineering and instrumentation, mechanical engineers who graduated from universities of technology, universities of applied sciences or secondary technical colleges are welcome. A fascinating job is waiting for you - process plant engineering – one of the world’s most exciting, creative and well-organized sectors. Female applicants are equally invited to join us.
